My route home yesterday took me over Warley Moor in West Yorkshire, on a stretch of remote road I came across three abandoned vehicles which appear to be victims of the awful weather we experienced in the UK known as the "beast from the east".
The first one I came across was a Ford Transit on it's side in a ditch, I didn't get a photograph of that, but further along the road I came across this abandonded Vauxhall Vivaro van which appeared to have skidded off the road and hit a road sign (or whatever that thing is you can see on the ground to the right of the photo).
Finally I came across this rather sorry looking Ford Focus.
I wonder if the driver bailed as it was moving I can't quite figure out how the drivers door would have ended up bent back like that. Also it looks like the headlights are missing so perhaps someone spotted it and stripped it, or maybe thats why it was dumped there and it's nothing to do with the bad weather.
Oh and when I finally got to the end of this road it was coned off and signed "Road Closed". That seemed a pointless excercise as it wasn't signed as closed from the direction I travelled.
